6. Enter the name of the profile in the Profile Name field.

7. Enter brief information in the Description combo box.

8. Click the Submit button.

Map the Monitoring Profile with Asset

Once created a Profile, it needs to be mapped to a specific monitor/s. Perform the following steps to map the monitoring profile with the monitor.

1. Go to the Monitoring Profiles’ List page.

2. Select the profile (example, Doc Testing) and click the Mapping tab.

3. Select the asset from the drop-down list of the Asset Category field.

4. Select the operating system from the drop-down list of the Platform field.

5. Select the type of server from the Server Type Category field.

6. Select the type of application from the Type field.

7. Enter the relevant name in the Profile Name field.

8. Click the Get Monitors button.

It displays the list of monitors available on that search combination.

9. Select the monitors from the list.

10. Click the Map button.

If you want to cross-check the mapped monitors as part of MIRAT’s  asset management solution, click the Deployed Monitors tab available in the middle pane. If you want to unmap the mapped monitor, click the Deployed monitors tab, then you can find the unmapped button.

Deploy the Monitoring Profile

Now, the profile contains a number of monitors after mapping it with monitors. You can deploy this profile on assets. Perform the steps as follows.

1. Go to the Monitor Profiles’ List page.

2. Select the profile from the list (example, Doc Testing) and then click the Deploy tab.

The Monitor Deploy page displays. You can find the added profile on this page.
